She is a full-time lecturer at Medicine Hat College in Alberta; teaching anatomy and physiology to nursing and paramedic students. She has additionally taught physiology and biology for non-majors. Elizabeth is active in a number of professional organizations including the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) and the Faculty Association at Medicine Hat College. In 2012; Elizabeth was 1 of 5 inaugural recipients of the College Sector Educator Awards bestowed by the Society of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).
